School Information
The school district is Independent School District 196. This is a respected and nationally recognized K-12 public school district also known as the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District. District 196 serves approximately 28,500 students in grades K-12 and is Minnesota’s fourth largest school district.
School District 196 has six "National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence" awards and numerous state and national recognition prizes for programs in academics, the arts and athletics. Tax Information
The taxing body in regards to property is governed by Dakota County. Each property's share of the taxes is determined according to its value, use, and property tax levies. The Dakota County Assessor is responsible for setting classifications for tax purposes and estimating values throughout the County. New property is generally assessed shortly after occupancy.
